Night safari in Southern and Western Tanzania

In Ruaha National Park, Nyerere National Park and Katavi National Park, some camps have licenses for night safaris.

These night drives usually start around 9pm, after dinner, and last around 2-3 hours. The main goal of a night safari is to see nocturnal animals such as genet, white-tailed mongoose, bat-eared foxes, hyenas, or even the aardwolf amongst others, who are difficult to spot during the day.

Night safari are led by experienced and trained camp guides accompanied by a park ranger.
