A minimum of 2 nights is required for a safari. However, a 3-night stay at a place is recommended for a greater experience.
It is important to know that the costs for a safari are usually from 700 USD per day and per adult considering 3 nights or more, including transportation, accommodation, meals, safaris, and park entrance fees. This is mainly due to the remote location of the parks (air transfers, logistics for supplies, etc.) and the size of the camps (an average of about 10 rooms).
The trips offered include transfers between parks by small aircraft, as the roads in Southern Tanzania are long and often poor, leading to significant time losses. The benefits of traveling by plane include the use of open safari vehicles and experienced guides who are well-versed in “their” park’s wildlife and flora.
