Exceptionally in a park, fishing is possible in Nyerere Park. The Rufiji River and the surrounding lakes are full of fish. Fishing for catfish (from 6 to 15 kg) is great in the lakes, while tigerfish (up to 15 kg) can be caught in the waters of the river.
On another hand, a stay combining beach and big game fishing can be organized on the islands of Zanzibar, Pemba or Mafia.
The best seasons for fishing are from June to the end of October and from mid-December to the end of February.
